David S. Pedigo was born and raised in Sherman and is a lifelong resident of Grayson County. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1968. Upon graduating from Baylor University with a degree in business, David joined Knight Furniture Company, his family’s retail store started by his grandfather in 1912. He worked 27 years in management, advertising, buying, and customer service. Listening to his customers’ needs, guiding them in the buying process, meeting deadlines, and servicing them after the sale, all prepared David to serve clients when he began his real estate career in 2001. His strong work ethic of honesty and integrity provides an experience for each client that is more than a transaction, it’s a relationship.
David and his wife, Sharon, have been married 44 years, and enjoy lots of family time with their three married children and six grandchildren. They are members of First Baptist Church, Sherman, where David grew up. David serves as a deacon, plays trumpet in the orchestra and sings in the choir. He has led Sunday morning singing and devotional time at a local nursing home for the past 35 years.
Although David is not a Veteran, he is an associate life member of the local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 973, serving as their bugler. He is deeply humbled and honored to play live taps for military funerals and ceremonies. He has a deep regard for the sacrifice and service of our nation’s Veterans and considers it a calling to be able to play taps for their families.
