Charles Carneal is a proud fifth-generation Texan, fourth-generation Dallasite, and second-generation SMU alumnus. Charlie attended SMU on academic and athletic scholarships, graduating with a B.B.A. (Real Estate) degree.
Charlie has spent his entire professional life in real estate, and he’s particularly knowledgeable in the Park Cities, Preston Hollow, Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek, Lakewood, and Lake Highlands areas. This lengthy experience translates into assertive representation for buyers and sellers, with many old friends as clients and new clients who become long-term friends.
Charlie currently serves on the Board of C.A.R.E., of which he was 2007 chairman, and was awarded the Margaret Sharpe Award for Community Service for 2017. Charlie serves on the Alumni Advisory Board of the SMU chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, and he’s also a member of the SMU Lettermen’s Association, Mustang Club, Preservation Dallas, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture.
Charlie was Top Producer for Dave Perry-Miller & Associates for 2005 and is a consistent producer. He has been named one of the “Best Real Estate Agents in Dallas” by D Magazine multiple times and has been profiled in Park Cities People. He was one of two elected representatives of the Park Cities/North Dallas MLS for 2007 and 2008 and is a member of two networking groups for Realtors.
“I strive to be creative, assertive, determined, gracious, and professional, and to always keep my clients’ interests first in mind,” Charlie says. “Persistence, experience, skill, and a strong focused effort will win out over the long term.”
Charlie is a founding member of the Less Than Literary Book Club, meeting monthly since 1988, and is an avid reader, tennis player, history buff, and music lover. He is the proud father of two children: Lindsey is director of Carneal Simmons Contemporary Art in Dallas; Matthew is an Austin attorney and a 2010 graduate of UT Law School, which he attended as the recipient of the Townes Hall Society Scholarship.
